The main idea is that remedies in a dispute are about deciding who has the right to relief and then giving that relief. The objective is to determine the winner—who is legally entitled to a remedy and in what form (damages, injunction, specific performance, etc.). That decision finalizes the dispute by clarifying rights and ordering appropriate redress.

While justice is the broader aim of the legal system, the remedies themselves function to declare entitlement and provide the relief that follows from that determination. Saying the case should be put to an end or focusing on steps the party must take describes outcomes or procedural actions, not the core aim of the remedies.
